Our work consists in instrumenting existing mechanical parts so that they indicate the load they carry, without their function, dimensions or footprint being altered.
We offer two approaches accordingly: a rigging load pin already developed and ready to be fitted, or the instrumentation of a part you already use, when your need falls outside this scope.
The load pin
It is a standing-rigging load pin, made to the dimensions of your reference, that lets you know the tension the rigging is set to. Since it simply takes the place of the standard axle, it can be fitted in series production without any change to the rest of the rigging.
A deliberately minimalist design
Whatever the part, our sensors contain no power supply (and therefore no battery to replace) and no radio transmitter, and reading them does not go through any server or subscription. As a result, a part we have instrumented can be read entirely independently, including if Fanao Solutions were to stop operating.
Who we are
Fanao Solutions designs and manufactures rigging tension sensors in France, for rigging professionals, on cruising sailing yachts and catamarans. Our ambition is indeed to make load measurement accessible to boats that had until now most often been without it, and in doing so to contribute to the modernisation of the sector.
